Asian Leadership Conference

The Asian Leadership Conference ( ALC) is an annual international conference, which is organized by the Chosun Ilbo, the largest-circulation daily newspaper Korea, in Seoul, South Korea. The focus of the conference is on the current political and economic issues, but especially concerning the area Asia the world respectively.
The first Asian Leadership Conference took place in 2005, a year after the Sumatra - Andaman earthquake, under the motto "Cooperation and reconstruction after the tsunami " instead. According to the Chosun Ilbo, the main idea behind the conference was that South Korea, can based on their own development from developing countries to industrial nations a leadership role in shaping Asia to take over. What was originally intended as a meeting of Asian leaders, has rapidly become a global conference with personalities from all over the world over the years.
The last Asian Leadership Conference was in the period from 26 to 27 March 2013 under the theme "Asia's Next Challenge: Good Growth & Smart Welfare " (next Asia's challenge: Good growth and intelligently designed welfare ). The next conference is scheduled for 3 to 4 March 2014 and is under the motto "One Korea, New Asia " (re United Korea, New Asia) in the Shilla Hotel, Seoul held.
Current Meeting
The most recent conference of the ALC series is the Asian Leadership Conference 2014 and will deal with the meaning of a reunified Korea in terms of regional security policy and the prospects for growth in Korea. George W. Bush, former President of the United States, as well as many other senior figures in politics, business and research will speak on the topic.

- " One for One " principle The " One for One " principle is at the ALC in 2014 for the first time introduced new donation system that allows regular users to assign a day pass.
