Marc Faber

Marc Faber ( born February 28, 1946 in Zurich; homeland justified in Trimbach ) is a Swiss stock market expert, manager and author.

Faber studied economics and a doctorate in economic history at the University of Zurich. From 1970 to 1978 he worked for White Weld & Company in New York, Zurich and Hong Kong. Since 1973 he has lived in Hong Kong. From 1978 to February 1990, he was there at Drexel Burnham Lambert Managing Director. In 1990, he founded the investment company, Marc Faber Ltd., headquartered in Hong Kong. This managed 2007, approximately $ 300 million.

Faber is considered pessimistic stock market guru, as he predicted last crash, namely the Japan - market downturn, the stock market crash of 1987, the Asian crisis and the bursting of the technology bubble in 2000 correctly. Faber is the editor of the Gloom Boom & Doom Report. He is therefore also " Dr. Called Doom ".
