Atotonilco de Tula is a municipality in the Mexican state of Hidalgo, near Tula de Allende. The seat of the municipality is the same Atotonilco de Tula. The community had in 2010 31.078 inhabitants, its surface area is 121.7 km ².
Geography
The municipality of Atotonilco de Tula is located in the south of the state of Hidalgo, 85 km north of Mexico City, at over 2000 meters above sea level.
Atotonilco de Tula is bordered to the west by the Municipalities Tepeji del Rio de Ocampo and Tula de Allende, to the north by Atitalaquia and on the northeast by Ajacuba and in the east and south by the State of México.
