Audi Q3

The Audi Q3 ( internal type 8U ) is a compact SUV Audi AG, which was introduced on 21 October 2011 at the German market. It is manufactured at Seat in Martorell ( Spain) and is based, as it did the VW Tiguan, based on the A3 and VW Golf. The Q3 was first presented at the Motor Show 2007 in Shanghai (China ) under the name Cross Coupe Quattro. The premiere of the series model also took place in Shanghai, held at the Shanghai Motor Show 2011.

Vehicle characteristics

The Audi Q3 came for the launch in June 2011 with two petrol and two diesel engines on the market:

  • The 2.0 -liter TDI diesel engine is available with either 103 kW ( 140 hp ) or 130 kW (177 PS),
  • The 2.0 -liter TFSI petrol engine is available with either 125 kW ( 170 hp ) or 155 kW (211 hp).

These motors produce 280-380 Nm of torque; All variants have a start -stop system with regenerative braking, which recovers electrical energy during braking.

The more powerful petrol variants of the Q3 standard seven-speed S tronic direct-shift gearbox ( DQ500 ), which is designed for torques up to 600 Nm. This permanently drives to all four wheels via a multiple disk clutch. The two weaker variants possess a manual six- speed gearbox; the 103 kW TDI as an entry model is offered with pure front-wheel drive. In addition to the standard Start- other driver assistance systems are available as an option, for example lane and lane change assistant (Audi active lane assist / Audi side assist ) and various parking aids.
