Augustin Hadelich ( born 1984 in Cecina, Italy ) is a German violinist.

Biography

Augustin Hadelich was born in 1984 as the son of German parents in Cecina, Italy. He began with five years of playing the violin. Augustin Hadelichs first teacher was his father, Uto Ughi, Christoph Poppen, Igor and Norbert Brainin Ozim. He first studied at the Istituto Mascagni in Livorno and then to New York's Juilliard School with Joel Smirnoff.

Augustin Hadelich won the 2006 first prize at the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis.
