Aurel Èšicleanu

Aurel " Chiose " Ţicleanu ( born January 20, 1959 in Teliuc, Hunedoara County ) is a former Romanian football player and current coach and official. He played a total of 337 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A. He also took part in the European Football Championship 1984. He has also stood in 2013 as coach of the Romanian first division club FC Braşov under contract.

Playing career

Ţicleanu began in his hometown of Sadu at the local club Metalurgistul. There he was in 1976 by ​​the then coach of Universitatea Craiova, Constantin sacrificed, discovered and brought to Craiova. He managed to equal the leap to the first team and came on 25 May 1977 its first use in Divizia A. Ţicleanu was a regular player and spent his most successful years in Craiova. National

Ţicleanu denied a total of 44 games for the Romanian national football team, scoring two goals. He made his debut on August 29, 1979 against Poland. National coach Mircea Lucescu nominated him for the European Football Championship in 1984 in France, where he came on in the games against Spain and Germany respectively for Marin Dragnea.

Coaching career

After the end of his active career Ţicleanu began a career as a football coach. In 1991 he first took over UTA Arad in the subprime Divizia B. Once the targeted promotion was narrowly missed (UTA were deducted eight points for match-fixing ), he took over in 1992 Oţelul Galaţi in Divizia A. Oţelul him came initially be classified in the midfield. After the descent could only be avoided in the 1993/94 season, his contract was not renewed.

In early 2006, he joined the Kuwaiti Premier League with Al- Sahel Abu Halifa and finished with the team at the end of the season the 7th Place. The following season, the number of first division teams was reduced from 14 to 8 and Al- Sahel succeeded as fifth -placed again to avoid relegation in the Kuwaiti Division One.

In 2007, Ţicleanu for a season training with the Premier League rivals al - Dschahra, with whom he was, however, Table 2008. In March 2013 Ţicleanu first supported Ilie Balaci and Adrian Mititelu in their attempt to build a new team for Universitatea Craiova, but decided in early April, 2013, to accept the post of technical director at second division Corona Braşov. Others

Ţicleanu since December 2001 Honorary Citizen of his hometown Sadu and since 2003 honorary citizen of Craiova. In 1981 he married for the first time. From this marriage that ended in divorce in 1999, submitted a son and a daughter. Ţicleanu is now married for the second time and has another daughter.
