Aydın Doğan

Aydın Doğan ( born April 15, 1936 in Kelkit, Gümüşhane ) is a Turkish businessman and until the end of 2009 CEO of Doğan Yayin Holding.

Biography

Doğan studied at the Istanbul Economic and Commercial College (later at Marmara University ), and already in 1958 founded his first transportation companies. Until the late 1970s, he worked in passenger and goods transport, pharmaceutical and construction industries. In 1974 he founded his first industrial operation and increased in 1979 with the acquisition of the daily Milliyet into a media business.
