Azerbaijani presidential election, 2013

The presidential election in Azerbaijan in 2013 were held on 9 October.

Electoral process and criticism

The official election results were announced before the vote of the State Central Election Commission by Mobile application, while Ilham Aliyev, the incumbent received a majority of 72.38 %. The Commission later recanted this result, claiming that it was the result of the previous election, which was "accidentally" released. This assertion is considered controversial because of that result contains the candidates of the election in 2013, not the 2008 election, and as the percentages of the results of the election differ 2008.

Election result

The election won by Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the incumbent ( New Azerbaijan Party ) with 84.7 percent of the vote, while opposition candidate Jamil Hassanli came to less than six percent.
