Babiná
Babiná ( German woman chair, Hungarian Bábaszék ) is a town in central Slovakia. It is located about eighteen kilometers south of Zvolen in Banskobystrický kraj.
History
The village was first mentioned in records in 1254. In 1270, for the first time settled German settlers. In the 16th century had to be paid to the Ottoman Empire toll. In the 17th century the village belonged to the Esterházy family.
