Baby Marie Osborne
Marie Osborne; Helen Alice Myres actually; better known as Baby Marie ( born November 5, 1911 in Denver, Colorado, † November 11, 2010 in San Clemente, California ) was an American film actress.
Life
Childhood
Osborne was born Helen Alice Myres. Shortly after her birth, she came to foster parents; this changed the girl's name. In 1914 the family moved to California. Her parents were working in the film industry.
Career
When they looked for a little boy for a film, people became aware of Marie, who at that time was wearing a bob. As a baby, Marie, she played until 1919 in 29 films. From 1934 to 1949 she played mainly on parts. After that, she was active as a costume designer for various productions. In 1976 she retired.
Private
Marie Osborne was married from 1931 to 1936 with Frank J. Dempsey. This marriage ended in divorce. In 1945, she married Murray F. Yates, who died in 1975. She had a daughter named Joan, and five grandchildren. Most recently, she lived surrounded by her family in California's San Clemente, where she died a few days after her 99th birthday.
