Baie-Comeau Drakkar

The Drakkar de Baie- Comeau ( Baie- Comeau Drakkar engl. ) are a professional Canadian Junior Hockey team from Baie- Comeau, Quebec, which currently plays in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Play their home games in the franchise at the Centre Henry -Leonard.

History

In 1997, Drakkar were established as a new QMJHL team, one of the founders was former NHL player Marius Fortier. In the first two seasons, the team started with poor results, only later the season balances were better, the Coupe du Président and thus the championship of the QMJHL won the Drakkar de Baie- Comeau, however, never.

Players who spent their youth time with the Drakkar de Baie- Comeau and later played in the NHL, include Marc -André Bergeron, Maxime Fortunus, Jean -François Jacques, Yanick Lehoux, Pierre- Luc Létourneau - Leblond, Charles Linglet, Olivier Michaud, Pascal Pelletier, Joel Perrault, Bruno St. Jacques and Patrick Thoresen.
