Bailingmiao

A large village Bail Miao or Bailingmiao (Chinese百灵庙 镇, Pinyin Bǎlíngmiào Zhen, W.-G. Pai -ling- miao chen, Mongolian Bat Chaalga ), also known by many other names, the capital and seat of government is the United Darkhan - Muminggan - banner of the prefecture-level city of Baotou in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. The town is located on the northern foothills of the Yin Shan, is a transport and trade center of this area. There are road links to Hohhot, Baotou and in the greater community of Bayan Obo (白云鄂博).

It is the site of a battle during the Suiyuan - campaign (1936).

The former site of Bailingmiao Rebellion ( Bailingmiao Qiyi Jiuzhi ) by the end of February 1936 is on since 2006 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-912 ).
