Baitus Sami

The Sami Mosque, Bait well us- Sami ( Urdu بیت السمیع, DMG Bait al - ʿ Sami, House of Allhörenden '), is a mosque situated in the settlement area Schwarze Heide in Hannover in the district sticks. The mosque was opened in 2008, is run by the religious community Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, a product derived from the Ahmadiyya religious community.

Mosque

The Bait us Sami is the first and so far " only mosque in Hanover with dome and minaret correct ". The mosque association began in November 2005, about 200 meters from the municipal border with the construction of the bait us Sami. The mosque holds 700 worshipers and has a 18-meter high minaret. This minaret is not used for the call to prayer. The property covers approximately 2,800 square meters and is located on a road to an industrial area outside of the residential area Schwarze Heide.

In August 2008, the church of Mirza Ahmad Masrur was inaugurated as the spiritual head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat. It is part of the 100 - mosque project of the religious community. In Bait us a Sami Murrabi ( educator ) provides its service. It is a special employee of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, because Islam has no priesthood.

Mosque community

The mosque community is based in Hannover since 1980. 1991 to its own premises were rented to a supermarket for the first time. In 1998 the company moved into a rented house in single Ahlem. According to self-reported the mosque congregation has 300 members ( including children ) in Hannover.

Others

The majority of residents in the settlement area did not agree with the construction project. Before the mosque there were petitions, calls and auditions with the competent administrative authority to prevent the construction. The basic concern was mainly led against noise pollution by major events.

New Year's Eve 31 December 2008 devastated burglars the mosque. This entry doors were demolished, about 15 windows smashed and three TVs stolen. On 6 February 2009, the Hanover Mayor Stephan Weil attended the mosque community.
