Origin and History
The Bakharwal - dog, a Molossian, is a livestock guardian dog in Pir Panjal mountain - range, Kashmir. The herdsmen of nomadic tribes bred him to protect belongings and guard the flocks. He is one of the oldest breeds of the Himalayas.
Description
Tiefenbrüstig, muscular and agile: the Kashmiri Sheepdog has a straight back and broad shoulders; the body is long-legged, with a powerful neck and large head. The coat is of medium length, with a woolly undercoat, black and various shades of brown, three colored and spotted dogs come before. Depending on the area vary in size between 60 and 75 cm shoulder height.
Nature
Famous for his loyalty to his owners, his courage, but also his wildness and tireless activity it protects the goods and chattels, but is also aggressive towards strangers and predators.
