Bankon (also Abaw, Abo, Bo and Bon ) is a Bantu language and is spoken by about 12,000 people in Cameroon.
It is distributed in the district Moungo in the Littoral Province.
Classification
Bankon is a Northwest Bantu language and belongs to Basaa group that is classified as Guthrie Zone A40.
Approximately 86 % of the vocabulary have similarities with the vocabulary of the language Barombi.
