Báňovice

Báňovice ( German Banowitz ) is a municipality with 110 inhabitants in Okres Jindřichův Hradec, Czech Republic. The municipality is located 6 km west of Jehnice in 516 m asl and is a member in the micro- region Jemnický.

History

The first written record dates from 1327, when King John of Luxembourg, the village of the town Jamnitz transferred. From 1850 the village came to Datschitz. In the 19th century the life flourished and in 1880 the village had 169 inhabitants Czech. On 9-10. October 1938 the purely Czech village of Germany was annexed.
