Bärbel Broschat

Bärbel Broschat, née Klepp ( born November 2, 1957 in Magdeburg ) is a German track and field athlete who - starting for the GDR - 1980 world champion in the 400 - meter hurdles was ( 54.55 s ). That was their only success at an international highlight. At the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, she was unable to attend because of the boycott of the GDR.

Bärbel Broschat competed for the SC Magdeburg and trained with Klaus Wübbenhorst. In her competition time, she was 1.73 m tall and weighed 62 kg.
