Barkingside tube station

Barkingside is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Redbridge. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 4 at a dead end called Road Station. In the year 2011 there were 1.16 million passengers these from the Central Line station.

History

On May 1, 1903, the Great Eastern Railway opened a railway suburb of Ilford to Woodford via Hainault, called the Fairlop Loop. Due to low demand, the breakpoint was closed on 22 May 1916 to 30 June 1919. 1923 went the distance in the possession of the London and North Eastern Railway on ( LNER ).

The canopies on both platforms today are still decorated with the logo of the Great Eastern Railway. Since 2011, the station is a listed building (Grade II).
