Bartholomew of Brescia

Life

Bartholomaeus studied in Bologna at Hugo Linus de Presbyteriis Roman law and canon law at Tancredus. In 1258 he was allegedly murdered da Romano in old age in the conquest of Brescia by Ezzelino. His comprehensive volume consists mostly of revisions; in particular is his commentary on the Decretum of Gratian in a revision of that of John Teutonicus Zemeke.
