Bartlett is a city in Cook County and DuPage County, Illinois, United States. A small piece of land in the western corner is part of the Kane County. According to the full census of 2000 lived 36 706 inhabitants in the village. A recount in 2002 recorded 37 304 population, 2007 were 41,500 counted.

History

The place was named after the founder Luther Bartlett, ready presented the land for the construction of railways. The town was founded on 21 June 1892.

Geography

According to the census of 2010, the city has a total area of 41.1 square kilometers, of which 98.55 % is land and 1.51% water.

Demography

According to the census of 2000, there were at this time 36 706 inhabitants in 12,179 households, and 9986 families. The population density was 956.9 inhabitants per square kilometer. In the village there were 12,356 houses with a building density of 322.1 houses per square kilometer.
