Bàsquet Manresa, also known under the name of sponsor Assignia Manresa, is a Spanish basketball club from the Catalan city of Manresa. Dier first team plays in the Spanish ACB League. The home games will be held in the 5,000 -seat Pavelló Nou Congost.

History

The club was founded in 1931 as Manresa Basquetbol Club and merged four years later under the name Unio Manresana de Bàsquet with CB Brages. In 1968, for the first time succeeded in rising to the first division. In the 1972 season, the club debuted by participating in the Korać Cup on the international stage. The most successful era began in the 1990s, in the 1995/96 season was the Copa del Rey, the first major titles to be won and the following year the team reached the knockout stages of the Eurocup, but the highlight was the 1997/98 follow. Although the team finished the regular season of league ACB only in 6th place, she sat down in the play- offs against each surprisingly CB Estudiantes and Real Madrid and TAU Ceramica through to the championship to win. The then already 40 -year-old captain and point guard Joan Creus was chosen because of its outstanding performance named MVP of the finals series. Winning the title is considered the biggest upset in the history of the ACB league. In the 1998/99 season the club took part in the European Champions Cup, but resigned in the intermediate round.
