Toby Bailey
John Garfield Bailey ( born November 19, 1975 in Los Angeles ) is a former American professional basketball player. The 1.98 m wide player was known by 1995, as "College Freshman " in the NCAA finals contributed 26 points for the first victory of the UCLA Bruins since the era of John Woodens. Bailey played in the NBA as a point guard, trained in Europe but for the small forward to.
Bailey played from 1994 to 1998 four years for the team of UCLA, according to the NCAA championship in 1995, however, he did not attain to the team's Final Four series. Then Bailey was selected in the NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers as a total 45 in the second round. However, the Lakers gave him before the start of the NBA season to the Phoenix Suns on. For the Suns, he played in two seasons 73 times and came to a point average of 3.3.
His contract was not renewed in 2000, so he signed a contract with the stars for a little season in the prestigious, reactivated American Basketball Association in Los Angeles. Then Bailey went to Europe in 2001 and first played for one season in Imola, Italy in the top domestic league championship series A. He then moved on to Greece and played for the Athens club Panionios and AEK, with whom he also first appearances in the highest European league ULEB euro League had, and in between for Aris in Thessaloniki, with whom he was in 2004 Greek Cup winner.
In March 2006, he was obliged by the Belgian club Telindus of Ostend on the English Channel, with whom he was at the end of the season along with, among others, the German national team Denis usurers national champion. In 2011 he ended his active career and then returned to his hometown.
In the past, Toby Bailey in his home country and in the Summer League International Basketball League for the Santa Barbara Breakers (2007) and the Los Angeles Lightning (2008 to 2010) have been active.
