Bastian Prize

The Bastia price or Bastian Prize is the annual price of the Norwegian Translators' Association for outstanding translations into Norwegian in the field of fiction.

The Bastia award was established in 1951, since 1984 there is also a prize for translated children 's literature. The premium of the price consists of a statue of a little horse, which was created by Norwegian sculptor Ørnulf Bast. It is also the name of the statue is derived: " Bastian ". In addition, 50,000 Norwegian crowns will be awarded.
