Bay Hill is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Orange County in the U.S. state of Florida with 4,884 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Bay Hill is located about 5 km west of Orlando.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 4,884 inhabitants distributed to 2,072 households. The population density was 740 inh. / Km ². 84.6 % of the population were white, 2.3% African American, 0.2% Native American and 9.4 % Asian Americans. 1.4% were members of other ethnic groups and 2.1% in different ethnic groups. 9.3% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 30.6 % of all households lived in 31.4 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 80.8 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.66 persons and the average family size is 2.98 people.

23.0% of the population were younger than 20 years, 14.6% were 20-39 years old, 37.1 % were 40-59 years old and 25.4 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 48 years. 49.5 % of the population were male and 50.5 % female.

The average annual income was $ 108,319, while 12.4 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 84.65 % of the population spoke Spanish 7.89% and 7.46% had a different mother tongue.
