Beats Electronics

Beats Electronics, LLC is an American manufacturer of audio equipment based in Santa Monica. The company mainly produces its own brand headphones Beats by Dr. Dre., Named after the founder of the company, the rapper Dr. Dre.

History

The company was founded by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine took place already in 2006. 's First product, the headphones Beats by Dr. Dre Studio, but was brought in 2008 to the market. First, various headphone models were produced in cooperation with the electronics company Monster Cable Products; the partnership but was terminated in 2012. Since then, the products are manufactured by the company itself.

On 11 August 2011, the technology group earned for HTC 300 million U.S. dollars with 50.1 percent of the shares, the majority of Dr. Dre headphone brand to improve with Beats technology, the sound quality of HTC smartphones. 2012 HTC sold 25 percent of the shares back to Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine.

On 2 July 2012, the online music service MOG has been adopted.

Besides different headphone models of the series Beats by Dr. Dre, the company also manufactures sound systems for smartphones manufactured by HTC and equips computer from HP.
