Beeld

Beeld ( Afrikaans for " image ") is a South African Afrikaans daily newspaper, the ( the former provinces of Transvaal and Natal) appears in the provinces of Gauteng, KwaZulu -Natal, Limpopo, North West and Mpumalanga. The appearing in the Naspers newspaper publishing is one of the largest in the country. Editorial office is Johannesburg.

The first issue of Beeld appeared on 16 September 1974. Thus the publisher Naspers from Cape Town began in the press market in the Transvaal to compete with the rest of the Afrikaans newspapers. Today Beeld Afrikaans is the only daily newspaper in the area. The circulation increased at constant and is now at about 200,000 copies (as of March 2006). The subtitle reads the newspaper jou wereld, jou koerant ( "Your world, your newspaper ").
