Beendorf

Beendorf is a municipality in the district of Borde in Saxony -Anhalt. The community belongs to the municipality Flechtingen.

Geography

Beendorf is about 7 km east of Helmstedt directly on the border of Lower Saxony in the conservation area on the edge of Aller - Harbke Lappwaldes.

Parish council

Since the last municipal election held on 7 June 2009, the council has 10 members. The turnout was 49.6 %. The voting groups reached 8 seats and thus 100% of the allocation of seats.

Another member of the council and its chairman is the mayor.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 1 April 1997 by the regional council of Magdeburg.

Blazon: "In Green Bergmannsgezähe a silver, in silver plate three main growing green linden leaves bar- wise."

As a symbol of the former salt mining, the community chose the silver hammer and chisel; the green linden leaves in chief stand for the wooded surroundings Been village.

The municipality therefore colors are silver ( white) - Green.

The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg Heraldikerin Erika Fiedler.

History

From 1994 to January 1, 2005 was Beendorf to manage Community Weferlingen of 2005 to 31 December 2009 on the Community Management Flechtingen. Since January 1, 2010 Beendorf is a member congregation of the newly founded on this day municipality Flechtingen.
