Béguey
Béguey is a commune in the Gironde department in the region of Aquitaine. The municipality belongs to the canton Cadillac, a part of the District, Langon is located in the catchment area of the city of Bordeaux.
Geography
Béguey is located on the right bank of the Garonne River to a height of 2 to 90 meters above sea level. Southern neighboring community is Cadillac, east and north Laroque is Rions. To the west of the neighboring canton Podensac adjacent to the church. From Bordeaux is Béguey about 29 km as the crow flies.
Population Development
The residents of Béguey be called Bégueyrais. The population is 1138 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) and remained almost constant since records began in 1793.
Economy
Béguey is a wine-growing village. The vineyards are among the appellations Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux and Cadillac.
