Behdad Salimi

Behdad Salimikordasiabi ( born December 8, 1989 in Qaem - Shahr ) is an Iranian weightlifter.

Sporting career

Salimikordasiabis first international competition was at the Junior World Championships in 2008 where he scored with a body weight of 151.46 kg 406.0 kg ( 186.0 / 220.0 kg ), and thus the third place behind Evgeny Pisarev with 426.0 kg and Ruben Aleksanyan finished with 412.0 kg.

In 2009 he won the Asian Cup with a capacity of 421.0 kg ( 190.0 / 231.0 kg ), and the Junior World Championships with 423.0 kg ( 195.0 / 228.0 kg ) with over 20 kg Distance to each runner-up.

A year later Salimikordasiabi took in his first Senior World Championships in Antalya. In tearing he was defeated by 208.0 kg to 210.0 kg Yevgeny Tschigischew after he failed in the last attempt to 211.0 kg. Since Tschigischew injured on the first joint attempt Salimikordasiabi was it pulled the rest of the field in a duel after his valid initial trial of 241.0 kg with 449.0 kg. Only the thrusting succeeded Matthias Steiner with 246.0 kg the Iranians, who lifted 245.0 kg in the second attempt, beating, since this failed last attempt to 247.0 kg.

In the same year Salimikordasiabi also starts at the Asian Games, where he with 440.0 kg ( 205.0 / 235.0 kg ) before Jeon Sang- Guen from Korea with 428.0 kilograms and his compatriot Sajjad Anoushiravani Hamlabad with 427.0 kg sovereign gold won.

In November 2011 Salimikordasiabi outbid at the World Championships in Paris with 214.0 kg in the snatch the existing world record by Hossein Rezazadeh by one kilogram .. Im bumping he mastered 245.0 kg and thus achieved in a duel 459.0 kg ( 214.0 / 245.0 kg ).

At the Olympic Games in London in 2012, he won with a total of 455.0 kg gold medal.

At the World Championships in 2013, he was not used because of differences with the Iranian Weightlifting Federation.
