Belgian military ranks
The status and the names of the ranks of the Belgian Armed Forces have been established by a law of 28 February 2007.
Since 2 January 2002, the Belgian Armed Forces have a unitary structure. Under this unit structure, there are different branches of the armed forces: Army, Air Force, and Navy medical corps.
Female soldiers are open to all functions.
