Benny Ziffer

Benny digit ( Hebrew בני ציפר; born June 1953 in Tel Aviv) is an Israeli journalist, writer and translator. Digit is head of the literary newspaper Haaretz and published three novels.

Life

As the son of a Jewish- Turkish mother and a father who was born in Vienna studied Paragraph French literature and learned German at the Goethe Institute. Ciphers novels deal with the homosexual lifestyle and everyday Jewish- Turkish immigrants in Israel and made some controversy. His Roman numeral and its written during a fellowship at the Literary Colloquium in winter 1997/98 at the Wannsee.

In Israel, he is now best known for his column in Ha'aretz, in which he explores the impact of television on the Israeli everyday life. He also translated several novels and poems from the French.

Private

Digit is married, has three children and lives in Ra'anana.
