Bernd Cullmann

Bernd Cullmann ( born October 11, 1939 in Idar -Oberstein ) is a former German track and field athlete.

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 Cullmann was with the German relay Olympic gold medalist in the 4 x 100 - meter dash ( 39.5 s; together with Armin Hary, Walter Mahlendorf and Martin Lauer, Bernd Cullmann as first runner ). The German squadron was second in this race, but the leading destination in the season of the United States was disqualified because of a faulty. Both in the run as well in the finals equaled the German squadron with 39.5 s the existing world record.

The performance athletic career by Bernd Cullmann covered the period 1959 until 1961. Bernd Cullmann launched for the ASV Köln. In his playing days, he was 1.80 m tall and weighed 71 kg.

After finishing his sports career, he went by his profession as a gem cutter, it exerts as a family tradition in the third generation.
