The Bescot Stadium is a football stadium in the district of Bescot Cresent city of Walsall, England. May 9, 2007, it bears the name of Banks 's Stadium after Marston's Beer Company. This agreement has a term of more than 11 years. The Walsall FC moved in 1990 from Fellows Park, where the club played from 1896 to 1900 and from 1901 to 1990, in the new Bescot Stadium.

History

Construction of the venue began in June 1989 and lasted until July 1990. On 18 August 1990, the official opening of the new home of Sir Stanley Matthews Saddlers was completed. On this occasion clashed FC Walsall and Aston Villa. The friendly match ended in front of 9,551 spectators with a 4-0 victory for the visitors.
