Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü Basketbol is the basketball department of the Turkish sports club Beşiktaş Istanbul from the district of Beşiktaş in the European part of the country's largest city, Istanbul. The greatest successes in basketball scoring Beşiktaş (under the name Beşiktaş Milangaz ) in 2012 by winning the triples consisting of the Turkish Championship, the Turkish Cup and the Euro Challenge. Beşiktaş is in his games in the Beşiktaş Akatlar Arena.
History
Beşiktaş Istanbul in 1933 founded his first basketball team. After many players had left the club, he made 1936 the operation of gambling. After four years of break the game operation was resumed. 1957 achieved Hüdai Budanır against Karagücü in the former Istanbul League 110 points. Beşiktaş won with 110:46. The record of Budanır was surpassed later by Erman Kunter with 153 points.
1966/67 bis 1976/1977 Besiktas missed three times the profit of the Turkish Basketball Championship. 1974/75 brought Beşiktaş his first Turkish league title in the club's history. Beşiktaş experienced a bad season in 1997, after the regular season the team was in 13th place in the relegation zone. However, by the financial problems of Yıldırımspor, who retired from the First League, Beşiktaş remained in the First Division.
2004/ 05 managed the Black and Whites after 30 years of the entry into the play-off final. My opponent was Efes Pilsen Istanbul. Efes Pilsen decided the final as well with a series of 3:1.
From the season 2005/06 main sponsor Cola Turka was part of the team name, in the 2011/12 season, the club was called the utility company Milangaz, after the start of the 2012/13 season, the club has the name of " Beşiktaş integral Forex".
2011/12 were the black eagle again after 37 years of Turkish champions after they beat Efes with a series of 4-2 in the play-off final Anadolu. This was also the third Cup in a very successful season.
