Betlanovce
Betlanovce ( German Bethel village or Bethlensdorf, Hungarian Betlenfalva - to 1907 Betlenfalu ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia.
Location
Betlanovce located in Hornád boiler ( Hornádska kotlina ) on Hornád River at the northern reaches of the Slovak Paradise, 13 km from Poprad.
History
The first written mention was made in 1260 as Betlema. The population was concerned with agriculture and forestry.
The merchant family Thurzos has its roots in the town.

- Renaissance castle from the years 1564-68
- Originally a Gothic church dating back to 1309, rebuilt in the 20th century
Population
According to the census of 2001, there were 629 inhabitants: 570 Slovaks ( 90.6 % ), 55 Roma ( 8.7% ) and others. 595 ( 94.6 %) of the residents gave as a confession to Roman Catholic.
