BeydaÄŸ

Beydag (formerly Greek: Palaiopolis derived from Turkish: Balyambolu / Balyanbolu ) is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Izmir. The city is located about 100 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital of Izmir.

The district lies to the east of the province and is bordered to the west by Ödemiş, to the east by Kiraz and on the south by the province of Aydın. Beydag is located on the northern slope of the mountain Aydın Dağları, in the north of the county is the reservoir Beydag Baraji, where the river is dammed Küçük Menderes.
