The Biberbrugg railway station is a railway junction of the Swiss South-East Railway (SOB ) and is situated on the territory of the municipality in the canton of Schwyz Feusisberg. Considered together with Wattwil as one of the operating nodes of the SOB, because here the separate routes novel horn - Arth -Goldau and Wädenswil -Einsiedeln.
History
The station was opened in 1877 by the then - Wädenswil Einsiedeln train, as this opened its railway line between Wädenswil on the train route from Zurich to brick bridge and the Einsiedeln pilgrimage. While the eponymous settlement Biberbrugg is part of Bennau and thus lies on the territory of the district Einsiedeln, the train station is located on the municipality of Feusisberg in the district courts. 1891, the station was the hub, as the successor company WE- SOB took their railway from Pfäffikon to Arth -Goldau in operation.
