Bílsko u Hořic

Bílsko u Hořic until 1991 Bílsko ( German Bílsko ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 24 km north-west of the center of Hradec Králové and belongs to Okres Jičín.

Geography

Bílsko located at the southern foot of the Horschitzer sandstone ridge on the stream Chlumský creek. Due to the local situation Velké Bílsko the European Route 442 leads between Jičín and Hradec Králové.

Neighboring towns are Chlum in the north, Hrachovec in the northeast, and Libonice Hořice in the east, Dobra Voda u Hořic in the south, Lískovice, Sylvárův Újezd ​​and Domoslavice the southwest, Ostroměř in the west and Holovousy and Chodovice in the northwest.

History

Bílsko was first mentioned in 1386 as the seat of Zdislav of Blsko documented. From the 1404 Jindřich, Přibík and Petr Czernin of Blsko have survived. Until the beginning of the 16th century consisted in Blsko a stronghold as a country aristocratic residence, after which the village was connected to the rule Holovousy.

As part of the division of power among the sons of Karl Holovousy Karlík of Neřetice Adam Karlík received Blsko 1574 as an independent asset. His descendants sold the property in 1594 along with Holovousy Albert Vladislav Smiřický of Smiřice, which it struck his reign Hořice. After the Battle of White Mountain, the goods of Smiřický were confiscated. In the Thirty Years' War, the village was deserted, and there was the settlement of Germans. In place of the wild celebrations after the Thirty Years' War was a manor on which a brewery was operated. 1783 the manor was divided. 1811 began the cultivation of hops.

After the abolition of patrimonial Blsko was in 1850 a part of the community Libonice in the Hradec Králové Region. Gained its independence in 1880 Blsko. At the time, Blsko of 29 houses and had 139 Czech citizens. Parish and school location for the agricultural village was Chodovice.

As of 1910, the village belonged to Okres Nová Paka and since the 1930s to Okres Hořice. 1921, the name of the municipality in Bílsko was changed. In the course of municipal reform of 1960 took place on 1 January 1961, the annexation to Dobra Voda u Hořic, at the same time the village came to Okres Jičín. Since 24 November 1990, the municipality Bílsko there again. It helps to distinguish it from the same places since 1 July 1991 the name Bílsko u Hořic.
