Biota (ecology)

The term refers to all biota living things in the environment (plants, animals, fungi, and others).

Function

Biota are the basic building blocks of living ecosystems. Influences on the environment shape in the first step as material changes or changes in behavior of individual organisms from which can in turn lead to personal injury. This can be a trigger for ecosystem changes in ecosystems due to the functional integration of the biota. Therefore, and in addition, because of their function as a genetic resource, for ethical reasons, and ultimately for the good of the people they are to be locked environmental medium. Introduced, non-native species are also known as invasive species.

Man is not allocated to the biota, but considered separately, despite its dependence on the functions of ecosystems because of the social and economic linkages.
