Bitarová

Bitarová is a municipality in the north of Slovakia with 684 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011) in Okres Žilina, a circle of Žilinský.

Geography

The area of the village Bitarová located in the western part of the basin at the Žilina Bach Bitarovský creek and has brown forest soils. Small forest areas are located in the southwest and northeast of the village. The place is located at an altitude of 380 m nm, with heights of up to 670 m and is six kilometers west of the city of Žilina located.

History

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1393.
