Black Breath (band)

Black Breath ( engl. Black Breath ) is an American Crustcore band, the influences of various punk and metal sub-genres into their music. Established in Bellingham she comes now from Seattle.

History

The band released in 2008 after several demo songs, their first EP Razor to Oblivion on the band's own label Hot Mass, to whom she had hardcore punk with elements of Metal. This publication brought Black Breath a recording contract with the label Southern Lord one, which took over the re-publication and distribution of the EP in the port. In 2010 there appeared also the debut album Heavy Breathing, which was recorded by Kurt Ballou at his God City Studios.

The band played concerts with 3 Inches of Blood, Zeke, Himsa, Amorphis, The ACCÜSED, Toxic Holocaust, Pelican, Wolves in the Throne Room, Skeleton Witch, Sunn O))), Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, Entombed, Jungle Rot and Corrosion of Conformity. In May and June 2009, she toured with the bands Victims and Trap Them, and in May of the following year with Converge again by the United States. In November, followed by a European tour with opening acts changing. In March 2011 the band played alongside Morbid Angel, Agalloch, Obituary, Municipal Waste and other bands on the Scion Rock Fest in Pomona, and in July at the Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth and Tuska Open Air Metal Festival in Helsinki.

Style

The band is sometimes described as hardcore punk and crust band with metal influences. Other reviewers see the conditions in the sound of the band turned around and especially a close to Swedish Death Metal bands like Entombed, Dismember, Carnage and Nihilist, which also display a crust influence.
