Black Front (Netherlands)

Zwart Front ( Black Front ), later renamed the Nationaal Front ( National Front ), was a fascist, 1934-1941 active organization and political party in the Netherlands.

In May 1934, the politician Arnold Meijer founded the extreme right-wing, anti-Semitic and anti-capitalist, more on Italian fascism of Mussolini as German National Socialism Zwart -oriented front. The party aimed primarily from on Catholic voters and medium-sized companies and their members were recruited in part from the ANFB ( Algemeene Nederlandsche Facisten Bond, General Dutch Fascist League ). After the condemnation Zwart Front by Roman Catholic bishops, who called for loyalty to the Queen, democracy and the Roman Catholic State Party, the interests of Catholic voters at the front Zwart took off quickly. Many members and supporters split from the organization.

After the occupation of the country by the Germans renamed Nationaal Front in April 1940 Party offered the occupiers to work together.
