Features

Head and back are black, just as the eyes and beak. What is striking is the red throat and a black stripe running vertically above the center of the white breast.

Occurrence and habitat

The Macklot - Mistelfresser comes on the Southeast Asian islands of Lombok, Nusa Penida, Salajar, Tanahjampea, Timor, Sawu, Atauro, Roti, Leti, Babar, Damar and Romang. On Atauro it occurs regularly throughout the island, especially in the plantations of the villages, where he often eats figs and flowers of the tamarind tree.
