Bob Houbregs

Bob Houbregs ( born March 12, 1932 in Vancouver ) is a retired Canadian professional basketball player.

Houbregs began his career in college basketball for the University of Washington. 1951 to 1953 he led the team to three titles in the Pacific Coast Conference. In 1952 he was elected to the 1953 NCAA All-American Second Team in the All-American First Team. He signed up for the NBA Draft in 1953, in which it chose the Milwaukee Hawks in second place. The end of November 1953 he was transferred in exchange for Max Zaslofsky to the Baltimore Bullets. A year later he was elected the Boston Celtics in the following the dissolution of the Bullets Dispersal Draft. A month later pledged him the Fort Wayne Pistons. After moving the franchise to Detroit in 1958 where he finished his NBA career. In 1987, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
