Bohdan Dzyurakh

Bohdan Dzyurakh C.Ss.R. ( born March 20, 1967 in Hirske, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine) is a bishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. He's Auxiliary of the archeparchy Kiev and head of the Curia of Kyiv - Halych Großerzbistums.

Life

Bohdan Dzyurakh was consecrated on 17 March 1991 by Bishop Julian Woronowsky MSU ( Lemberg) as a priest. He joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists and lay his religious profession on 19 August 1995. On 21 December 2005 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him. Titular Bishop of Vagada and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop at the same time in Kiev. Major Archbishop Cardinal Lubomyr Husar consecrated him as bishop on 15 February 2006, he was supported by the co-consecrators Archbishop Ihor Voznyak CSsR from Lviv and Bishop Julian Woronowsky MSU from Sambir - Drohobych. In 2009 he was appointed Curia Bishop of Kyiv - Halych Großerzbistums and forwards the episcopal curia. He was also elected Secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the Greek- Catholic Church in Ukraine. In this capacity he was also in 2010 participants at the Special Assembly of the Synod of Bishops for the Middle East.
