Bohumil Musil

Bohumil Musil ( born May 10, 1922 in Prague; † 5 December 1999) was a Czechoslovakian football player and football coach.

Playing career

Bohumil Musil began playing football at the Novoměstský SK. From 1940 to 1941, the midfielder played for SK Bata Zlín, from 1946 to 1947 for Sparta Prague B. From 1947 to 1951 he was in the team ŠK NV Banská Bystrica, in the last two years, he was playing coach.

Coaching career

From 1951 to 1952 Musil oversaw the Czechoslovak national team in four games. He then spent many years long coach at Dukla Prague in the area juniors, B- team or as an assistant. Head coach was 1959/60 and 1966 until 1968. 1966 he was with Dukla by a large backlog still Czechoslovakian champion. From 1969 to 1971 he sat on the bench of Dukla Banská Bystrica, in the 1971/72 season he was responsible for the team of VCHZ Pardubice. From 1972 to 1975 he coached Bohemians Prague. He undertook subsequent to Slavia Prague, where he worked mainly as a youth coach. From July 1979 to December 1980 he was head coach. In 1981 he went to DP Xaverov Praha, where he coached until 1983.

Musil was also coach of the Czechoslovak Under-21s and other youth teams of Czechoslovakia.
