Bonneval-sur-Arc

Bonneval- sur-Arc is a town in the French department of Savoie in the Rhone -Alpes. She has classified 238 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) on an area of ​​82.72 km ² and is known as one of the plus beaux villages de France ( most beautiful villages in France ).

Geography

The church, which is part of the Vanoise National Park, situated on 1835 meters in the valley of the Arc, it flows through the landscape Maurienne. The distance is 43 kilometers from Modane train station in the northeast, about 30 kilometers south-southeast of Val d'Isere. In Bonneval- sur-Arc, the existing road starts since 1937 to the Col de l' Iseran ( with 2764 meters above sea level, the highest motorable mountain pass in Europe), which leads to Val d'Isere. This pass, which was often added to the route of the Tour de France, combines the landscape Maurienne with the Tarentaise.
