The Samtgemeinde flare Lamstedt is a local government association in the district of Cuxhaven. The term crimp derives from the Low German Boers. It means as much as carry or lift. The integrated municipality consists of the five member communities Armstorf, Hollnseth, Lamstedt, Mittelstenahe and Stinstedt.

History

The integrated municipality has only existed since the 1960s. However, they can look back on a long history. Lamstedt was first mentioned as parochia lamstede in church records in 1115. Archaeological finds have made ​​but that the flare must have been already settled much earlier. It is written in the register Vörder in 1500, and especially so for the first time mentioned. Here, however, it was not yet to the municipal entity, but to the church office district.

In 1746, a Gevollmächtigter for beading Lamstedt is mentioned. He was responsible to the bailiff in Bremervörde for an ordinary local government. More than one hundred years the Municipality Lamstedt was responsible for a poor-house management. By 1934, the Municipality was under the name " Sparkasse of the flange Lamstedt " guarantor of the local savings bank.

On 27 February 1963, 13 of the then 16 municipalities of the flange Lamstedt joined together on voluntary basis to a Samtgemeinde. Stinstedt occurred on 19 June 1967 Armstorf on 1 January 1969 and Nindorf on 1 January 1970. With the administrative and territorial reform of 1972, the number of municipalities was reduced to five.

Policy

Samtgemeinderat

After the local elections of 2011, the Samtgemeinderat is composed as follows:

  • CDU: 13 seats
  • SPD: 3 seats

The full-time mayor belongs to the Samtgemeinderat with seat and vote.

Samtgemeinde Mayor

In the local elections in 2001 joined with Werner Otten only a single candidate for the post of Joint municipality mayor. Born in 1952, administrative officer candidate on the list of the CDU. He achieved an outstanding result with 89.2 percent.

Community partnerships

Since June 6, 1992 there has been a partnership with the Polish community Wladyslawowo.

Economy and infrastructure

Flare Lamstedt is structured heavily agricultural. One important industry is dairy farming and production. More than 12,000 dairy cows are about 6,000 inhabitants compared to the integrated municipality.
