History

The name Buss Weyler, later Bussweiler, which should be attributed to the Germanic name Bosso, first appears in 1493. The place was constantly Zweibrücken - Bitsch. From 1790 to 1801 Bousseviller was assigned to the defunct Canton Breidenbach and has since been managed by Volmunster. Ecclesiastical Walschbronn was until 1804 responsible, since Bousseviller belongs to the parish Hanviller.
