Bozovici
Bozovici ( Bosowitsch German, Hungarian Bozovics, Croatian Božovice ) is a municipality in the district of Caras -Severin, Banat, Romania. The municipality includes the villages Bozovici Prilipeţ, Poneasca and Valea minis.

Bozovici is (Romanian: Tara Almăjului ) in Alma shear land between the mountains and the Almaj Semenic Mountains, in the Banat Mountains, along the national road DN 57B Resita - Anina Oraviţa and on the European road E70 Timişoara Băile Herculane. The village is crossed by the rivers Nera and minis.
History
Documented Bozovici was first mentioned in 1484 on the occasion of a gift of King Matthias Corvinus of Lazar de Bozovici. However, traces of human life are based on archaeological finds since the Neolithic detectable, as well as from the Roman period. In the Middle Ages Bozovici administrative center of the Romanian district " Alma Scherer Land" ( Tara Almăjului ). After the conquest of the Banat by the Habsburg Monarchy (1718 ) the place was military, administrative and political center of Alma shear district and belonged to the Banat Military Frontier, which was founded in 1751 by Pantschowa over white churches, Mehadia and Caransebes. 1768 that was put in " Wallachian battalion ."
